On a recent guest appearance of the “Green Light” podcast, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell named his whiskey of choice.
“I’ll say this. It’s been a while since I’ve had a nice one, but probably Jack,” Campbell said, according to FanNation. “Jack was always my — Jack Daniel’s was something that I always gravitated to, if you will.”
In 2021, Campbell made headlines after saying he drinks two venti-sized coffees from Starbucks every day with two shots of espresso in each one. On the podcast, he was asked how much coffee he’s drinking these days.
“I couldn’t tell you, but a lot more than I should,” Campbell said. “I do know that I’ll start the day off with those two big ‘ole cups, those venti cups. And, they’re double-shotted. And then, I still drink, I’ll drink throughout the day. Actually, the best thing for me is, is when the season gets here in practice. Like this time of year, the players are lifting, and that’s great, but we really don’t have them right now. So, it’s just an endless, an endless amount of coffee throughout the day. It’s ridiculous. Somebody is just going to find me on the floor.”
Jack Daniel’s has been in the news lately for “going woke” — fans of the whiskey producer have complained about and boycotted the brand after realizing Jack ran a Pride campaign starring drag queens in 2021.
