Following the winning of Whiskey Magazine’s “World’s Best Single Malt,” GlenAllachie has announced another Cask Strength, Small Batch bottling of their scotch whisky that will be aged at a minimum of 30 years and see consistent annual releases.
The inaugural batch will be comprised of a blend of whisky matured in PX and Oloroso Sherry hogsheads and puncheons, with a small amount of Chinquapin Virgin Oak casks as well.
“I always had an ambition to create a memorable 30-year-old expression, presented at natural cask strength, that would truly blow away whisky connoisseurs across the globe. It’s a small-batch single malt that undoubtedly captures everything I’ve learned along the way in my career, and thus is a bottling I’m particularly proud to release,” says Glenallachie Master Distiller, Billy Walker.
Batch 1 will be bottled at a cask strength of 48.9% and a recommended retail price of £475 (currently about $670 USD) with 2,000 bottles available worldwide.
