This calendar offers four variations: Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald. Each of the calendars contains bottles with a QR code that allows drinkers to scan to access an “expert Cask Explorer” who will guide the drinker through the tasting and get access to all the information on the whisky.

The prices of the calendars range from $96 to $850, so there is a calendar that can fit in almost everyone’s holiday budget.

The Spirit Co. offers a unique whisky advent calendar, the Japanese Whiskey Advent Calendar, which offers 24 different whiskies from, you guessed it, Japan.

This calendar has some fun elements to it. For example, each 1-ounce bottle is wax sealed. The array of whiskies in this calendar includes award-winning and rare drams. The website also lists each bottle that in the calendar (in no particular order), making the almost-$300 price tag a bit easier to swallow since you know what you’re paying for.

While this advent calendar may not exclusively offer whiskey, the Extraordinarily Tasty Advent Calendar from The Spirit Co. does include a dram of Blanton’s. so if you have someone you know who’s been dying to get their hands on a bottle of the exclusive bourbon, this could be a great gift option for them.

The calendar includes a mix of different spirits and only runs around $160, making it one of the less expensive options.

The Whisky Exchange’s 25 Spirits for 25 Days features “24 whiskies and fine spirits from around the globe, one for each day of advent, as well as a special 25th bottle to celebrate Christmas Day.” While the site does not give away any spoilers, it says that there are 15 spirits, four liqueurs and six whiskies.

The Whisky Exchange says that this advent calendar is designed like an old-fashioned one, where each day offers a new surprise. The box retails for about $167 on the website.
