  • Intro:

This was a review done courtesy of a friend and I reviewed it live on the Whiskey Network Discord server, then got the reveal in order to fill in relevant details here.

  • Nose:

Vanilla, cream, sour fruits. Lactic, barn yard. Faintly smoky, lemon tart, pepper.

  • Taste:

Medium, some heat, rich vanilla. Ashy smoke, burning wood, pepper, lemon, apples and pear cobbler. Faint rotting fish.

  • Finish:

Long, ashy, some heat, burning, charred wood. Vanilla, some molasses. Not super complex here but boy is it peaty.

  • Overall:

Overall, this was a super cool dram to review, especially blind, given how much of a legendary status this dram has commanded since release.
