  • Intro:

Distilled in TN, KY and IN, this release contains 5, 6, 7, and 9 year old barrels. Bottled at cask strength, this 116.6 proof release drops with an MSRP of $85 and contains a blend of straight whiskeys. Let's dive on in.

  • Nose:

Bright and sweet, corn forward, full of sweetness and caramel popcorn notes. Fresh, buttery biscuits, light vanilla bean. Lovely and sweet.

  • Taste:

Medium mouthfeel, a touch of heat but the reward of rich viscosity and a buttery, silky texture. Pecans, sweet and corn forward, butter cream and some lemon bar notes.

  • Finish:

Long finish, it works well here. Light on oak, sweet and light on tannin, honey and some butterscotch.

  • Overall:

Overall, this drinks remarkably different than batch 32, featuring brighter, sweeter, more corn forward notes with just a touch of oak in the background. It drinks younger, sweeter and more corn and bread forward. Fans with a sweet tooth and no aversion to lighter, sweeter tannins will be wowed. If you were hoping for big oak and spice on this batch, perhaps wait for 34 to dawn.
