  • Intro:

The fourth release of 2021, this is Booker's Noe Stranger's Batch. Aged for 6 years and 5 months and 12 days, it's released at 124.2 and can typically be found around the $100 mark.

  • Nose:

Bold, sweet, butter cream. Powerful clover honey, peanut brittle, salted caramel, vanilla bean ice cream, butterscotch and oak.

  • Taste:

Thick and rich, powerful and loaded with viscosity. Silky texture on the palate, features honey, butter cream, light oak, a touch of pepper, big caramel notes and a long, butterscotch note on the back palate. Light touch of cherry on the palate, unusual for Booker's, but this is a killer pour.

  • Finish:

Long finish, tame for the proof, loaded with peanut brittle, honey butter, light oak, sweet cherrywood and maple. Powerful, enjoyable, easy to sip despite the proof. Great finish.

  • Overall:

This is easily one of the best Booker's batches I've tasted in a hot minute, and despite an age statement that most enthusiasts would turn up their noses at, this release of Booker's swings for the fences and delivers stunning richness and complexity.
