A well regarded IB of Bruichladdich aged in ex-bourbon and bottled at cask strength.
Smoke, salinity, BBQ. Apples and lemon meringue pie. RIbs, black pepper. Nice peppery sweetness.
Really thick. Nice mouthfeel and good proof. Sweet cream, vanilla, honey, lemon pie. Pepper and then the smoke rolls in. Total Laddie smoke - I could tell this miles away.
Long, hot, peppery and smokey. Big, laddie brashness.
Man, this is really something. Too bad these are such a pain to get over here. Phenomenal dram loaded with everything that a good, brash Laddie packs. The ex bourbon lends some really nice sweetness to the pepper and the punch. If my local bar had this for a reasonable price, I'd probably drink it all of the time.
