  • Nose:

Apples, pears, honey, creme brulee, toffee, vanilla bean and a whallop of ash, slate, minerality and peat.

  • Taste:

BBQ ribs, creme brulee. Caramel candies, toffee, a slight sweetness of oak. Light berries, blackberry, ashy and mineral forward. Ashy, burning wood, smoked meat.

  • Finish:

Long, sweet, ashy, a touch of fruit and honey. Honeydew, lemon curd, creme brulee and vanilla bean.

  • Overall:

Magnificent, complex, a blend of fruit, dessert, burning wood and acrid peat in a balance that goes unexpected from the likes of brash Octomore.
