Sweet cream, lemon lime and seaweed. Big peat here, briney and loaded with earthiness and charcoal. The peat is more meaty - bbq focused with some lemon cream and ashy notes. A bit different from the Octomores which are so meaty and heavy - this shows a bit more balance between fruit, ash, meat and seaweed.
Medium mouth feel, no real heat. Sweet caramel and vanilla cream, light honey and toffee. Ashy peat, light iodine, crushed stone, apples and some bbq meats (think bbq ribs)
Long, rich and shockingly powerful despite the proof. Ashy, loaded with toffee to pair with briny minerality.
Really enjoyed this too. I'm sad I found it well after its discontinuing, because Id buy a whole bunch of these. Its really impressive how much presence this dram has at 46% ABV.
