Excerpt: It’s a weird one to me and while it’s not my favorite Bruichladdich, it’s still interesting stuff and if you like wine barrel finished whisky I’d recommend giving it a try if you come across it.

House Review
Intro:
This is a red wine finished unpeated expression from Bruichladdich. Non chill filtered and natural color.
Nose:
Honey, brine, some light floral fruit and some sweet cream. Pretty lactic, as I find most Bruichladdich spirit to be.
Taste:
Thin mouth feel but light, briney and sweet. Theres fruit and a hint of wine followed by more hay, honey and brine.
Finish:
Medium, more salty grain, followed by one last round of wine sweetness.
Overall:
Personally, I enjoy this dram. Its not as wine-forward as I was hoping but all in all, I think it's solid. Its kind of a niche whiskey though and I cant say that I come home everyday and think to myself, "Rocks is the whiskey for tonight" but when I'm in the mood, its enjoyable.
