Clynelish 20yr Signatory Vintage 1990 Binnys Selection

  • Distiller:

  • Bottler:

    Signatory Vintage

  • ABV:

  • Age:

    20 Years

  • Intro:

This is an independent bottling of spirit distilled at Clynelish. Bottled by Signatory Vintage after 20 years aging in a refill sherry cask, this release is bottled at cask strength with no coloring or filtering, and selected by Binny's in Chicago.

  • Nose:

Rich, syrupy sherry. Toffee, nutty sweetness. Intoxicating plum, musty old sherry, pipe tobacco, juicy fruits like raspberry, fig and plum. Cocoa, thick and rich nose.

  • Taste:

Medium mouth feel. A bit of heat. Then the flavar train pulls into the station. I hate myself for typing that. But it's here. Plums, powerful sherry. Cocoa, nutty syrupy raspberry, currant, creme brulee, coffee and blackberry. Complex and powerful.

  • Finish:

Long, delicious and complex. Pecan pie, syrupy honey, toffee, berries, musty sherry. This tastes like it had time in an OG sherry barrel, not some finished cask. Phenomenal complexity.

  • Overall:

I love this and I'd buy several bottles. Impressively complex, super desserty and the complexity is up there with some of my favorite sherry bombs without rotting your teeth.
