This is an independent bottling of spirit distilled at Dalmore, bottled by SMWS after 11 years of aging in an ex-bourbon barrel. This bottling, "Briny Dancer" is bottled at cask strength, with no coloring or filtering. Let's see how it is.
Graham cracker, waffles, fresh baked cake, vanilla bean, toffee and sweet almond.
Medium mouth feel, a bit hot. Amaretto, fresh baked bread, toffee and apple. Heat grows over time. Some pepper.
Long, hot, lots of apple and vanilla.
Really great nose, ok palate and ok finish. It's super interesting just how different IB Dalmore is from OB Dalmore. Unfortunately, this one isn't a winner, either. I bet some better aging would have smoothed this sucker out.
