Excerpt: I definitely see the potential, but the end result just isn’t there for me. Maybe it’s my batch or just my palate. Despite that, I still think it’s a risk at its price point and one that I’d recommend sampling before making a purchase.
Excerpt: The palate pours pleasantly chewy with molten butterscotch and offers a pleasant jolt of cinnamon and clove that suggests rye at work, before settling on bitter orange peel, salted caramel, and cocoa, leading to a drying leathery and warm spice finish. Nicely done.
Excerpt: Wow, that nose really threw me off at first and to be honest was not very pleasant to me. Thankfully the palate and finish improve on the less than stellar first impression with more traditional bourbon notes.
