  • Intro:

Stock image. Distilled by Glenallachie in 2008, this single cask was matured in a Ruby Port Pipe and bottled by Glenallachie for Spec's in Texas in 2020. It bears a 12yr age statement, was bottled with no coloring or filtering and comes released at cask strength, yielding 387 bottles.

  • Nose:

Jammy, loaded with brown sugar, toffee, cocoa, Luxardo cherry, vanilla bean.

  • Taste:

Medium mouthfeel, a bit hot. Jammy cherry, pepper, concord grape and light tobacco. Big sulfur on the back palate. Parks in my nasal passage.

  • Finish:

Long spicy finish with apple strudel, cherry and some light plum.

  • Overall:

Good, but not exceptional. The heat is most noticeable, as is the sulfur. Enjoyable and drinkable, but not exceptional.
