  • Intro:

Distilled by Glenallachie and bottled after 19 years of aging in oak, finished in PX casks, this bottling was selected by The Whiskey World and was bottled without coloring or filtering.

  • Nose:

Juicy and bright, really reminiscent of a 10yr Tawny from a beloved producer. Bright strawberry, plum, blackberry. Hint of toffee, creme brûlée.

  • Taste:

Sweet and syrupy on the palate. Rich on the palate. Jammy, syrupy, loaded with cherry, blackberry, strawberry. Honey, heather, tobacco. Just phenomenal.

  • Finish:

Long, rich. Ethanol is just right, as is the tannins. Sweet blackberry and honey persist for ages.

  • Overall:

Just lovely. An excellent expression displaying a phenomenal integration of sherry and base spirit.

  • Score:

    8
