23 Years
Distilled by GlenDronach in 1993, this malt was bottled after 23 years of aging in a PX Sherry Butt (#641) and was selected by The Whiskey World. Bottled without any dilution, coloring or filtering.
Deep, syrupy, loaded with toffee. Opulent and decadent, packed with complexity. Honey, heather, tobacco, pungent sherry and jammy fruits. Plum, fig, blackberry and cherry cordials.
Rich mouth feel, no ethanol. Syrupy once again - rests heavy on the palate, coats effortlessly. Tons of cocoa, plum, fig and blackberry. Hint of pepper, tobacco, oak.
Long, rich finish. A bit of dry oak, some pepper, toffee. Sweet cream, blackberry and chocolate covered cherries.
Fantastic, though not the best I’ve seen from GlenDronach - hardly a complaint. This demonstrates excellent balance that GlenDronach is known for while really serving up a dram that feels like a treat. Top notch.
