  • Intro:

This is an exclusive release from KL Wines in California. They selected several casks from Glenfarclas between the ages of 8 and 10 years old and blended them to produce this release. The result is a blend of first fill sherry casks bottled at 114 proof.

  • Nose:

Huge sherry, red fruit and some chocolate. There's little to no spice and zero ethanol.

  • Taste:

Tons of sherry fruit - plumb, fig, date. Followed by deep spice and leathery smoke - very mild on the smoke and not in an Islay fashion but I do get some nice gentle sulfur-y smoke here. Mild chocolate and a nice spicy finish. For the proof, its gentle and drinks well below the actual ABV on the bottle.

  • Finish:

Medium long and full bodied. More sherry, spice and chocolate, woody leather.

  • Overall:

This is really a quality dram.
