Glenlivet 12yr Signatory Vintage 2006 First Fill Sherry

  • Distiller:

    Glenlivet

  • Bottler:

    Signatory Vintage

  • ABV:

    60.9%

  • Age:

    12 Years

  • Intro:

Distilled in 2006 and matured for 12 years in a first fill sherry butt, this bottling from Glenlivet was bottled by Signatory Vintage at cask strength without coloring or filtering.

  • Nose:

Sweet cream, tons of black currant, melon, blueberry and fig. Some faint oak and honey.

  • Taste:

Moderate mouth feel, a bit of heat. Sweet berry notes from the sherry influence. A bit of malt, fig, honey. Not bonkers complex.

  • Finish:

Moderate, hot finish - sherry reigns supreme here once more but the proof is a bit more aggressive than it should be.

  • Overall:

While nice, there are Signatory bottlings from Glenlivet that are similar in age and more poised in execution.

  • Score:

    6
