  • Intro:

Distilled and bottled by Green River Distilling in Owensboro, Kentucky, this is the producers first release of a wheated bourbon. Bottled at 45% ABV, lets give this a go.

  • Nose:

Sweet and buttery, full of sweetness, caramel, buttercream, vanilla ice cream and a touch of praline.

  • Taste:

Medium mouthfeel, the ABV is apparent in that it's not punishing, but there's plenty of character. Vanilla, caramel candies, butterscotch, tiramisu, a touch of creme brulee.

  • Finish:

Finish is moderate in length, pleasant but not everlasting. Caramel candies, toffee, honey, maple candies, creme brulee and a pleasant pop of cinnamon.

  • Overall:

I couldnt be happier to see Green River excelling in making classically produced bourbon and now with a variety of mashbills. The wheated easily excels Green River's standard bourbon mash, in my opinion, and Id be caught dead drinking it any day.
