  • Excerpt: While I can’t say that I LOVE the candy corn like essence of Jim Beam, I do find it somewhat comforting and overall the spirit gets better and better with a higher proof. Look at Booker’s for example, it’s fantastic! 100 proof is definitely a good spot for Jim Beam to be hanging out at.

  • Excerpt: This isn’t complex or complicated, but the medium-to-long candy corn finish leaves me wondering about its status with two more years in the barrel. Of course, that would mean the price would go up, too.

  • Excerpt: Finish is short but warm, with more wood and mint as well as a bit of caramel. Water tames a bit of the bitterness and accentuates red fruits, chocolate, and pepper.

  • Excerpt: The finish coaxes out some bitterness in the form of rich pipe tobacco, possibly even cigars. Sweet and almost syrupy at the start, the hefty level of alcohol makes for an interesting juxtaposition on the back end.
