  • Intro:

A blend of Irish and American whiskeys bottled by Minnesota producer Keeper's Heart, this is a proofed-up version of the brand's base Irish + American expression. Specifically, the blend is composed of Irish triple-distilled pot still whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley, aged at least four years in bourbon barrels; Irish grain whiskey made from maize and malt, aged at least four years in bourbon barrels; and American rye whiskey distilled from a mashbill containing 95% rye, aged at least four years in new oak barrels.

  • Nose:

Bunches of baking spice, fresh pastry, honey, peach rings, candied ginger. Zesty and spice-forward.

  • Taste:

Pleasant palate. The bump in proof is welcome and brings with it honey, orange peel, brown sugar, peach cobbler, sweet cream and a dollop of almond.

  • Finish:

Long finish, clove, pepper, brown sugar, and a touch of peach cobbler.

  • Overall:

Big improvement over the standard Keeper's expressions, this is packed full of flavor showing each component's strengths.

  • Score:

    6
