Excerpt: The clove, nutmeg and cinnamon trifecta can be detected many feet away from the glass (nothing like some bourbon aromatherapy), and that translates to the palate too, along with cashews, apple, and pear. A little ice brings out more toffee notes and a hint of leather. It's a hot one going down, but it's a pleasant burn.
Excerpt: And for about $50, this is a really, really great deal. It tastes like a far more expensive whiskey. If you can find this, it’s not a terrible gift idea for this holiday season! You will not go wrong.
Excerpt: Greatly improved over the A120 batch and batting even a hair better than the B520, I'm a big fan of the C920 batch here and I rest assured feeling that they've ironed out the wrinkles this release saw early in 2020. This dessert forward bourbon is a flavor bomb for those in the audience who like big wheater notes without heavy handed oak.
Excerpt: Its full flavored bold sip is exactly what you’d expect from a barrel proof wheated bourbon from Heaven Hill. The distillery seems to be dialing in this brand quite well, and it wouldn’t surprise me if future batches of Larceny Barrel Proof continue to excel even more as the company finetunes the barrels it picks for these batched releases. If you’re a fan of sweater wheated bourbons or just a fan of full flavored barrel proof bourbons, be sure to seek this out.
Excerpt: If sweet bourbon is your thing, then this bourbon is for you! Very well balanced with a delicious syrup-like flavor. The Nose, Palate, and Finish were all quite enjoyable and made for a great sipping experience. At $50, it’s a thumbs up from me!

House Review
Intro:
Larceny Barrel Proof C920 is the third release of Larceny BP this year, following A120 and B520 batches. This wheated bourbon doesn't carry an age statement, but it's barrel proof and weighs in at an impressive 61.2% ABV.
Nose:
Decadent brown sugar and molasses. Nose is heavy on the dessert, a welcome direction. Cherry cordial, cocoa, toffee and a hint of pepper.
Taste:
Sweet and rich on the palate. Dash of heat, but not aggressive, it rests nicely for the proof. Honey, cherry cordial, a bit of toffee and cocoa. Sweet more than oaky, and light on big pepper notes. Oak structure feels well placed, balancing the sweetness without becoming too dry.
Finish:
Long finish that's bursting with vanilla bean, toffee, a nice Werther's caramel note and a dash of cherry.
Overall:
Greatly improved over the A120 batch and batting even a hair better than the B520, I'm a big fan of the C920 batch here and I rest assured feeling that they've ironed out the wrinkles this release saw early in 2020. This dessert forward bourbon is a flavor bomb for those in the audience who like big wheater notes without heavy handed oak.
