Excerpt: The finish is sharp, spicy, and drying. Ultimately Noe Simple Task was just that; a bit disjointed, the whole less than the parts in this case.
Excerpt: A lighter flavor profile highlighted by sweet notes of fruit, butterscotch, and honey with floral undertones, Little Book Chapter 02 is an approachable whiskey that pushes beyond the boundaries of the expected for a whiskey marketed towards bourbon fans.
Excerpt: The spectrum of bright flavors is underscored by deep spice and polished oak, while the impressive impact and skillful blending are spellbinding.
Excerpt: It’s a tough whiskey to put down, and while the floral element that Noe might have been seeking didn’t really come through on my palate, the fruit sure did.

House Review
Intro:
This is the second entry in Beam's Little Book blended whiskey series, named Noe Small Task. The puns never end. This was tried blind, and revealed to me after I handed in my notes. Let's see how it went.
Nose:
Musty, muted but sweet, rich caramel.
Taste:
Sweet, lots of apple, plum, pear and apricot. A bit of heat, medium mouth feel. So fruity, feels very brandy forward. Much more so than a bourbon.
Finish:
Long, powerful. Tobacco, sulfur, pepper, apple and pear, fresh baked bread. Sort of bitter.
Overall:
Diverse, unique, a bit hot, but a lovely brandy. Guessing a 7-9yr brandy, 50% ABV, grape base. This was revealed to me to actually be Little Book 2nd Edition: Noe Simple Task. Oof that hurts, but I don't feel too bad. This is bonkers fruity for a bourbon, and pretty good.
