  • Nose:

Sweet nougat, honey, ginger snap cookies, butterscotch, rich fig and plums. Intense, powerful, syrupy, and nothing short of pure decadence.

  • Taste:

Medium to rich mouth feel. Some heat, well disguised by the intense wave of flavor that rolls in. Cocoa, ginger snap cookies, honey, butter cream, rich plum and pear, stewed fruits and figs, currants and jammy, jammy sherry notes. Light char on the back palate, spicy pepper, a whole bunch of rich, funky, tobacco.

  • Finish:

Long finish, powerful sherry and malt character roll deep once more: cocoa, honey, sweet cream, plum, fig and stewed date candies. Long, long, long finish that lasts forever. Opulent and enticing from tip to tail.

  • Overall:

The wide variety of notes here all point to a heavily sherried masterpiece and all blend together for an incredible experience and a glimpse into the capabilities of one of history's most prolific distilleries.
