Excerpt: Increasingly earnest shavings of chocolate, filtered through toasted sesame seed, toasted brioche, white pepper, and a hint of iodine percolate on the finish. Sherry-fueled through and through, it’s an iconic representation of Macallan, dripping in oxidized wine and austerity.
Excerpt: Wow. This is an easy release to doubt, especially with the gargantuan jump in MSRP, but it delivers well and shows that Macallan still has what it takes to release solid bottlings, even if they stress your wallet.

House Review
Intro:
The final entry in Macallan's Edition series, Edition 6 is comprised of a blend of 5 maturations of scotch whiskey, blended to create a final marriage.
Nose:
Oooh, spicy and rich on the nose. Pound cake, raisin bread, strewed fruits and tobacco.
Taste:
Medium mouth feel but rich with flavor. Almond, tobacco, caramel and toffee. Stewed fruits, currant, raisin and old oak.
Finish:
Long finish. Rich with spice, caramel, fig, currant and gingerbread.
Overall:
Wow. This is an easy release to doubt, especially with the gargantuan jump in MSRP, but it delivers well and shows that Macallan still has what it takes to release solid bottlings, even if they stress your wallet.
