Excerpt: With a little more time in the barrel, their aged ryes may hold their own against the best. In the meantime, New Riff Rye is a solid first showing for the company’s own rye distillate.
Excerpt: Beyond neat, this works exceptionally well in rye cocktails. New Riff’s Rye is in hot demand for a reason - its’ great now and extra aging time is only going to take this from good to great.

House Review
Intro:
Today's review brings us New Riff Rye - a Straight Rye whiskey distilled from 95% rye.
Nose:
Unmistakably rye here. Spicy and fruity. Clove, white pepper, a hint of ginger. Sweet fruits, a little bit of mint.
Taste:
Sweet on the palate before the spice storms in. Brown sugar, minty rye, clove, faint melon and some oak tannins.
Finish:
Long finish, powerfully spicy on its way out. Brown sugar, more mint, clove, pepper and ginger returns once more.
Overall:
Beyond neat, this works exceptionally well in rye cocktails. New Riff’s Rye is in hot demand for a reason - its’ great now and extra aging time is only going to take this from good to great.
