Excerpt: I didn’t know what to expect from this bourbon, but after having it I was surprised at the quality of the whole package. It’s priced a little on the high side, but you’re getting is a bourbon that anyone can enjoy.
Excerpt: While I did enjoy this pour, I found myself wanting more with each sip and I couldn’t help but compare this to other releases from the Whiskey Row series that has much more to offer and at the same or similar price point.

This is a release in Old Foresters Vintage dated line of expressions. Called the "Original Batch" this is supposed to harken back to George Browns orignal batching process. It is "minimally filtered" - whatever that means.
Brown sugar, maple, banana bread. Lightly musty, some definite youth.
Thin, musty, hot. Theres a lot of heat here, for not a lot of flavor. Some maple, more banana bubble gum notes, faint clove.
Medium length, heat is better here but a bit too hot still. Oak, pepper, faint clove, some vanilla.
Not really remarkable. Thinner than I would like, and hotter than I would like, without bringing much flavor to the table.
