Excerpt: The flavor profile and resulting sip is average, but the fact of the matter is, it is also very drinkable and even more affordable. As long as you’re aware what Old Tub is going into it, what you’ll find is a bourbon that can be easily enjoyed neat, or due to its very reasonable price tag, can be used in cocktails guilt-free.
Excerpt: The taste is intense, spicy, and powerful with notes of cinnamon, black pepper, and chili powder and touches of honey and charred oak in the background. Adding water opens up sweeter notes of honey and butterscotch. The finish is long and spicy, but retains a nice smoothness. Excellent!
Excerpt: It stays consistent on the palate, showcasing the purity and sweetness of the grain: cream, vanilla taffy, toasted coconut, and toasted wood. It finishes with peanuts, toasted coconut, clean grain, and oak.
Excerpt: It’s undoubtedly a rustic style of bourbon, the nose weighted heavily with dusky barrel char, some cloves, and a whiff of smoke. There’s a popcorn and cereal component in there, but it’s buried deep, well beneath all that charred wood.
Excerpt: If you like beam, this replaces OGD BiB as the best Bonded value by a mile. If you don’t like Beam’s standard funk…maybe steer clear. For lovers of the profile though, this will hit the spot really well.

Distilled by Beam and released widely in 2020 as part of a "Limited Release", Old Tub takes a bottling that is non chill filtered, bottled in bond, and previously was only seen at the distillery gift shop.
Funky and sweet on the nose in a way that only Beam has perfected. Nutty, caramel forward, a bit of peanut brittle and amaretto sweetness. Light cocoa. Not a lot of oak, it’s all sweetness here.
Sweet on the palate, medium mouth feel. The heat is just right. Not the most complex, but there’s plenty of praline, marzipan, toffee and some pepper.
Long finish, sweet, musty, peanut forward.
