Excerpt: Unfortunately, 2019’s edition is seriously disappointing when taking everything into account. While the best course of action would have been to release this under something other than the Parker’s Heritage Collection, some saving grace could have been had by keeping the price somewhere under $100
Excerpt: It works well - flavorful and smooth, belying it's hefty proof. Something in me expected smoke character from such thoroughly scorched barrels, but it seems their refining effect won out.
Excerpt: Mouth-filling berry and dark cherry fruit are rounded out with spice, and adding water only gives greater length to the sweet treacle and delightful burnt sugar flavors before a finish of chocolate-covered nuts.
Excerpt: Bourbon drinkers who enjoy a complex nose, silky mouthfeel, and a long finish will appreciate this whiskey. This offering would make a fine addition to any bourbon drinker’s collection.
Excerpt: This is a monster in so many ways. Though the finish lets it down, the nose and palate come to play ball and there is no denying how well they perform.

House Review
Intro:
This annual entry into Heaven Hill's Parkers Heritage Collection is a limited edition offering featuring a rye that is matured in a heavily charred barrel. Lets dive in.
Nose:
Sweet cream, herbal spice, faint vegetal notes. Sweet honey, toffee, rye spice, brown sugar, coffee and nice oak.
Taste:
Medium mouth feel, growing thicker with time. Honey, toffee, lots of spice. Super spicy, loaded with clove, pepper, honey, toffee and some dirty tobacco. Yummy, metallic.
Finish:
Long, powerful and sweet. Herbal, spicy, oaky.
Overall:
This is a monster in so many ways. Though the finish lets it down, the nose and palate come to play ball and there is no denying how well they perform.
