House Review
  • Intro:

    Distilled by an undisclosed distiller (or multiple distilleries) in Kentucky and bottled by Wolf Spirits, this bourbon comes to us after 14 years of aging, including a finish in Jamaican dark rum barrels.

  • Nose:

    Big punch of nutty sweetness on the nose. Maple, tobacco, peanut brittle, pralines and funky brown sugar. Enticing and sweet. The nose lacks Jamaican funk, interestingly enough.

  • Taste:

    Sweet on the palate, rich with oak and brown sugar first, honey, tobacco and a touch of apple pie second.

  • Finish:

    Long finish. Fruity with apples, pears, a touch of mango and a light dash of hogo (Jamaican rum funk).

  • Overall:

    This pour is interesting. It starts heavy on the bourbon and ends with a spritely, estery rum touch. Fans bored of oak, spice and vanilla will be delighted at a new, interesting sip that challenges preconceived notions.
