- Excerpt: It's a fun peated Scotch, not over-the-top but with plenty of smoke and brine to keep Islay lovers happy, and at a pretty reasonable price.

- Excerpt: It’s a fair enough complaint that Son of a Peat offers few surprises. But did I mention the peat? Just checking.

- Excerpt: Not amazing, but also not disappointing. This is entirely fine, and while not the best value, it's plenty fine for a try.

House Review
-
Intro:
This is a batched release made specifically for the folks over at Flaviar blending peated components.
-
Nose:
Honey, bread, lemon and lime. Salted caramel, maritime air. Sweet and yeasty.
-
Taste:
Thin to medium mouth feel, lots of honey, salt, pepper. Lightly smoky, faint ash, burning wood, campfire. Very light iodine. No real heat here.
-
Finish:
Short to medium length, mildly woody and ashy. Vanilla, lots of honey, fresh baked bread and lemon lime fruit notes. Pepper.
-
Overall:
Not amazing, but also not disappointing. This is entirely fine, and while not the best value, it's plenty fine for a try.
