Excerpt: Good dram, not the most balanced one but still great because it has character. Offering strong and versatile notes, changing from fresh to dark notes and back to fresh notes along with bitterness.
Excerpt: (Batch 20) A nice dram, of which the nose is the winner, a lot is happening there what makes it quite interesting. When it comes to the rest, it’s pretty straight forward. The finish is the least, the fruitiness has disappeared here, it is mainly that typical Springbank dirtiness, which I love, but I miss a bit of that fruitiness here. But all in all another great batch, as it is quite enjoyable!
Excerpt: (Batch 19) An enthralling study in contrasts. So much distinct personality in both these batches. They’ve each got their high points as well as some nits, but overall the inherent integrity for which Springbank is renowned.
Excerpt: Overall, this is a complete winner for me. If I had the room on my shelf and in my budget, I'd own many more. I really like what they're doing over at Springbank and this review sets the stage for another Springbank release Im psyched out of my mind to try.
Excerpt: A lovely, rich and very sweet/dessert-forward dram. This is really tasty whisky with a great combination of sherry notes that still allow the bourbon barrels some room to show off their influence.
Excerpt: This is a big whisky. A heavy, bold, rich whisky that coats the senses and delivers a complex tasting and sniffing experience. It’s light on that signature Springbank note until you add water and then it’s right there, in your face.

House Review
Intro:
This is an age stated, cask strength release from Springbank and has recently become difficult to find these days. An older release from ~2020, let's dive in.
Nose:
Cream and custard. Smokey apple and lemons with a bit of icing. Some mild char and a faint hint of seabreeze.
Taste:
Sweet, smokey, salty. Much more of 1 and 2 than 3 but all are present. Theres some bright peppery tang and a good deal of vegetal char swooping in. Less fruity and sweet than the nose would have left me to believe, but overall, its delicious.
Finish:
The finish is long and filled with good, consistent char. Some burning rubber is in the mix and balances back out with a touch of icing and peppery lemon.
Overall:
Overall, this is a complete winner for me. If I had the room on my shelf and in my budget, I'd own many more. I really like what they're doing over at Springbank and this review sets the stage for another Springbank release Im psyched out of my mind to try.
