  • Intro:

A blend of MGP rye from Indiana, as well as components from Kentucky and Tennessee, this release is named after the famed Lone Cypress, and features bottling at cask strength. The newest release in the Stellum Black series, the cryptic yet intriguing series continues. Let's dive in!

  • Nose:

Bold and herbal, the rye spice drives hard with rich maple and a sweet waffle cone note.

  • Taste:

On the palate the maple sweetness continues, layering in heavy tannin and more herbal, rye spice. Black pepper, orange peel, clove, candied ginger, a prickle of ethanol and a touch of spearmint.

  • Finish:

Long finish, straying heavy and herbal some more. Spearmint, dill, a dollop of pepper, the prickle of ethanol continues although balanced against a resurgence of maple.

  • Overall:

Overall, this pour doesn't falter for a moment, it's rye through and through. If you love rye, bold rye and boisterous rye, this is for you.
