Excerpt: The 18yr. old is incredibly well balanced smooth and easy to drink. A cold, rainy afternoon Scotch or shared with friends after a rich, winter meal.
Excerpt: The coastal qualities in the 10 year old have been almost entirely transcended, but a persistent bit of salty ocean spray keeps the island quality alive.
Excerpt: But what’s amazing is the fact that you can easily take big mouthfuls of this powerhouse. Sophisticated combination of strong peat and fruity sherry influence.

House Review
Intro:
Distilled by Talisker, this Island region Scotch whiskey sees quite a bit of interaction with the sea via the coastal climate.
Nose:
Bread forward and complex - rising sourdough, bright honey, light lemon cream and a bite of pepper.
Taste:
Rich on the palate, especially considering the low proof. Moderate, viscous mouthfeel. Honey, faint pepper, big brine notes that carry with the sweetness magnificently.
Finish:
A faint bit of ash and the tiniest wisp of peat. Long finish that combines salinity, sea are, buttercream and lemon curd with grace.
Overall:
Decadent and wonderful, it's Talisker executing enviable balance and a great toolset of flavors here. Spendy, but worth it.
