  • Intro:

This is an independent bottling of spirit distilled at Tamdhu, and bottled by Cadenheads. It was matured for 22 years in a port cask, and bottled at cask strength with no coloring or filtering. Let's see how it is.

  • Nose:

Sweet toffee, juicy currant and blackberry. Cherry, raspberry. Musty, almost hop oil note. Lovely sweetness, rich ripe berries and tobacco. Fresh baked bread.

  • Taste:

Medium mouth feel. Light ash. Some pepper. Ethanol creeps up. Big burst of juicy, fruity, flavor. Grape, cherry, blackberry. Cassis. Pipe tobacco, nice oak structure.

  • Finish:

Long, sweet. Fresh baked bread, light muffin. Faint sulfur, loads of cherry, blackberry, toffee.

  • Overall:

Really great. Very saturated flavors. All of them pleasant. Nice work Tamdhu.
