  • Intro:

A new release from Uncle Nearest, this is their uncut, unfiltered rye whiskey. Punching in at nearly 60% ABV, this is a behemoth release for the brand. Let's dive in!

  • Nose:

Sweet honey and fragrant nose, tons of candied ginger, lemon peel and lavender.

  • Taste:

Rich palate, super floral and spicy. This thing is rye from start to finish, powerful and full of maple, honey, lavender, orange peel, and spicy pepper.

  • Finish:

Long, spicy, hot finish that’s pure spice, floral, fruity, no oak or maple. It's punchy and ethanol forward, but every prickle of heat is paired with flavor and bold rye spice.

  • Overall:

Overall, this uncut rye is bold, spicy, powerful, and a bit aggressive. If that rye profile is your wheelhouse, hold on, you're in for a treat.

  • Score:

    6
