  • Intro:

Distilled for Uncle Nearest, this single-barrel whiskey is bottled at a hefty 60.5% ABV. Let's dive in!

  • Nose:

Rich toffee and honey, pound cake and cocoa are clear right away. A touch of tobacco and great maple character. Rich oak, a bit tannic on the nose.

  • Taste:

Powerful on the palate, this has an incredibly satisfying viscosity when it comes to mouthfeel. Cinnamon roll notes meet with brown sugar, tobacco, raisin bread and a bold cherry note.

  • Finish:

Long finish, char-driven with a good deal of clove, honey, tobacco and bitter oak.

  • Overall:

This release is a winner. Bold, textured whiskey with a decadent combination of tannin, dessert notes and baking spice. Delicious.

  • Score:

    7
