  • Intro:

A micro blend of select single farm distillation, this Micro Cuvee is head blender Ned's summer delight from the description on bottle. This is batch C002-VAR-02. Bottled at 50% ABV with no coloring or filtering, let's dive in!

  • Nose:

Expressive, fruity, packed with citrus and a touch of barnyard funk. Lactic, full of sesame seed, lemon curd, pepper.

  • Taste:

Sweet on the palate, packed with butterscotch, lemon, some hay and a touch of praline. Viscous, easy to enjoy and the proof works very nicely. It's got a good deal of funky hay and straw, but balances the sweet butterscotch and citrus nicely.

  • Finish:

Short finish, a bit of a shortcoming on this particular release, but not so great as to detract from enjoying it. The finish could be longer, because it sorts out the balance between the funky hay and grain, the sweet and buttery caramel notes and the zesty citrus present.

  • Overall:

Overall, it's unique, experiential and seems to change every time I come back for another pour. Some may find it a bit out there, but fans of adventure will be rewarded.

    6
