Excerpt: The whiskey delivers notes of dried figs, almonds, orange peel, and treacle. It calls out for end of night enjoyment; it would pair wonderfully with cheese or chocolate, or perhaps just a wood fire.
Excerpt: It’s heavy, it’s obstructive and can coverup a lot of flaws with its dense sweetness. But, on the flip side, if you enjoy super sweet whiskeys or drinks, then this Woodinville Bourbon Finished In Port Casks is perfect for you.
Excerpt: While it feels hotter than its 90 proof would indicate, this is a smartly-crafted whiskey that uses a clever finish to temper the rawness of the base spirit, giving it a more rounded, exciting future.

House Review
Intro:
Distilled by Woodinville Whiskey Company in Washington State, this bourbon whiskey comes to us devoid of an age statement but bottled at respectable 45% ABV after some period being matured in port casks.
Nose:
Juicy and inviting on the nose - some young malt notes, jammy berry, caramel and honey.
Taste:
Really sweet on the palate - thin mouth feel, though. No heat. Really, really jammy. Extremely port influenced. This drinks more like a starburst candy than a bourbon with a little wine.
Finish:
Essentially nonexistent finish. So sweet and jammy.
Overall:
I really like Woodinville’s Rye, but this bourbon is a bit young and has way too much port.
